What if my OS isn't listed?
iroffer can be ported to just about any modern UNIX based OS with little effort. Note the term modern in the previous sentence. I have had some people give me shells to very old versions of some OSs that iroffer would never port to.

Tools:
sh, csh, ksh, bash, etc.. Configure will fail horribly without some kind of shell
make or gmake isn't really a requirement, but its useful
gcc or a modern cc gcc is prefered, but a modern cc will do, some old versions of cc fail though
Libraries, C Functionality:
Network Stuff gethostbyname,...
BSD Sockets open,close,read,write,socket,bind,connect,listen,accept,...
Regular Expressions regcomp,regexec
Standard Crypt crypt which supports 13 char output, can be bypassed though
